Juicy homemade beef burgers made with 5% fat mince, served in a wholemeal bun with a crunchy yogurt slaw. All the satisfaction of a burger night, without the guilt.
Mix beef mince with egg, garlic powder, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Season well.
Shape into 4 patties. Press a small indent in the centre of each to prevent puffing.
Cook in a hot griddle pan or on a barbecue, 4–5 minutes per side for medium.
Make slaw: toss cabbage and carrot with yogurt, vinegar, and seasoning.
Toast buns lightly. Build burgers with lettuce, tomato, patty, and slaw.
Serve immediately with extra slaw on the side.
Tip: Using 5% fat mince instead of 20% fat mince saves around 120 kcal per burger.
